We're Gardeners...Well, We're Trying

Dear Em,
For years I have been looking at other people's pictures of their garden harvests with longing. The problem is, I don't have much of a green thumb. For a long time, I couldn't even keep indoor plants alive. Vegetable gardens intimidate me.

Even though it might be an epic disaster, we're going to try growing our own vegetables this year. We started by purchasing some jiffy pots, soil, & seeds. We're starting with cucumbers, green beans, summer squash, & watermelon. We also bought flower seeds. Armed with little kits, you & I planted our seeds inside this past weekend.

So far we've seen some flower sprouts starting to come up. We haven't seen anything happening on the vegetable side of things, but I think that's normal. I actually have no idea what is normal. Lucky for us, Nonnie will be here in a couple months. I may not have a clue what I'm doing, but she always seems to.

Hopefully, we will be able to harvest something at the end of this new adventure, but if not, I still had fun sharing this gardening experience with you.

I love you so,
Mommy
