fall foliage
Dear Em,
New England is a place so full of beauty...especially in autumn. I'm so thankful for the beautiful colors, the crisp smell, & the crunch of leaves under my feet.
This year I'm especially thankful, because I thought hurricane Irene had robbed us of our autumn loveliness. Irene spilled salt water all over our New England trees, & we watched the trees around us suddenly turn brown. I longed for the orange, yellow, red beauty of autumn.
Not to dissapoint, our New England autumn found a way to show it's true colors after all, & I am so very thankful that it did.
I love fall, I think it's the loveliest time of year.
I love you so,
Mommy
